LOWESTOFT: MAN DISTRIBUTED INDECENT VIDEOS OF CHILDREN
A 51-year-old Lowestoft man who distributed indecent videos of children has been given a suspended prison sentence.Police raided Ian Satwick’s home after receiving information from the National Crime Agency that his IP address had been used in relation to indecent material involving children, Ipswich Crown Court heard.
Devices belonging to Satwick were seized and in addition to distributing three indecent videos of children in the most serious level A category, it was discovered he had downloaded indecent images of children in category B and the lowest level C category.
Satwick, of Blyford Road, admitted distributing three indecent videos of children and downloading indecent images of children.
He was given a two-year prison sentence suspended for two years, a 40-day rehabilitation activity requirement and was ordered to do 150 hours unpaid work.
He was also made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order for 10 years and was ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register for the same period.
Andrew Thompson, for Satwick, said his client had no previous convictions and had lost his job as a result of the offences.
