MAN, 44, ASKED GIRL, 9, FOR NUDE PHOTOS ON SNAPCHAT
A 44-year-old man from Crossford, identified as Ian Fraser, was involved in misconduct with a young girl and falsely claimed to be 15 years old during their interaction.
Fraser told the girl, who was only nine at the time, that he liked breast images and asked her to send nude photographs.
He appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court where he admitted to communicating indecently via Snapchat on February 4 at Morar Road, Crossford.
He also pleaded guilty to possessing an indecent photo of a child between November 2 and 15 at the same location.
The case emerged after a girl from the West Midlands area, aged nine, initiated contact with Fraser on Snapchat, claiming to be 13.
Fraser responded that he was 15 and soon engaged in a sexualized conversation.
He expressed interest in her exposing her chest and face, asking for such images.
The girl sent a face photo, and Fraser continued to request further images.
Following the interaction, West Midlands Police launched an investigation and traced the messages back to Fraser.
Authorities executed a search warrant at his residence, uncovering a video of a boy aged between 10 and 12 on his phone.
Sheriff Krista Johnston scheduled a future hearing where Fraser will remain on the sex offenders register until sentencing on July 23.
