MAN, 65, WHO KISSED WOMAN, 17, ON BODY AT WORK NIGHT OUT IS ON SEX OFFENDERS REGISTER
A 65-year-old High Valleyfield man has been on the sex offenders register after kissing a young woman.
John Skelton, of Dunimarle Street, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court, having previously been found guilty after a trial.
He was convicted of a charge that on June 28 at Carnegie Drive, Dunfermline, he sexually assaulted a female aged 17, by kissing her on the body.
Defense solicitor Ian Beatson said his client’s version of events was still that he was intoxicated and fell over.
He went on: “He’d been on a works night out and had been drinking to excess.
He was planning to retire next year but he’s now lost his employment." Sheriff Krista Johnston imposed a community payback order with 80 hours of unpaid work and six months of supervision.
Skelton was also put on the sex offenders register.
