HIGH VALLEYFIELD MAN ADMITS ASSAULT AT JAMES BANK HOSTEL
A woman was knocked to the ground during an assault by her partner in a Dunfermline hostel.As a result, 27-year-old Rhys Borland, of Dunimarle Street, High Valleyfield, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on October 20 at James Bank Hostel, James Street, Dunfermline, he assaulted his partner by repeatedly pushing her on the body, causing her to fall to the floor and then seized her by the body and shook her.
Defence solicitor Stephen Morrison said: “They were at the hostel for a meeting attended by their support workers when a disagreement arose.” Sheriff Derek Reekie noted that Borland had a recent analogous conviction.
He deferred sentencing until December 3 for reports.
