CROSSFORD MAN GIVEN COMMUNITY ORDER AFTER ATTACKING PARTNER AND DAMAGING PROPERTY
A woman was attacked by her partner, Dillon Crittenden, who told her she should have wakened him earlier for his work.On November 24 last year at Meadow View, Crossford, Crittenden shouted, swore, acted aggressively, seized his partner and covered her mouth, causing her injury.
Additionally, on March 29 this year at the same address, he damaged property by striking a door.
On the same day, he shouted and swore at his partner and pushed her against a wall.
The incident stemmed from his frustration that she did not make him lunch and that she woke him for work.
The woman was crying after the assault, but Crittenden told her to “stop her crocodile tears.” She later contacted a friend, and the police were called.
Crittenden also followed her after an argument, pushing her against a wall.
His behaviour led to his appearance at Dunfermline Sheriff Court, where he admitted to the charges.
The court was told they had been in a relationship for three years.
His defence stated he has issues with alcohol misuse and that he is capable of waking himself up and making his own food.
The judge described his action as appalling and terrifying for the victim and noted that his status as a first offender kept him out of jail this time.
Instead, Crittenden was sentenced to a community payback order with 160 hours of unpaid work, with the warning that breaching it would lead to jail.
