CALDERDALE GANG JAILED FOR GROOMING AND ABUSING GIRLS
Fifteen men who "systematically" groomed and sexually abused teenage girls in Halifax have been jailed.
They were convicted of child sex offences including rape, grooming, and trafficking during three trials at Leeds Crown Court.
The victims showed "immense courage and bravery" in giving evidence.
The longest sentence was 25 years in a "complex and lengthy operation".
The gang abused a young girl in Halifax and Bradford between 2009 and 2011, and another victim was also sexually assaulted by one of the gang members.
The case included nearly 60 hours of police interview with victims, 1,848 statements, 2,963 exhibits, and over 20,000 items of disclosure.
25 men faced charges, with some acquitted.
