2013: FLASHER JAILED AFTER EXPOSING HIMSELF NEAR PRIMARY SCHOOL
A man who exposed himself to multiple women across Bolton over a period of one week has been sentenced to 20 weeks in jail.Gustav Jakubics was found to have engaged in sexual acts in front of women near various locations, including a doctor’s clinic, a primary school, and a bus station, the Bolton magistrates court was told.
Prosecutor Nicola Ormerod explained that Jakubics’ first victim was a driver on Avon Street heading towards the Cornerstone surgery at 3:30 pm on June 25, when she saw him standing in front of a vehicle with his genitals exposed.
Four days later, another woman walking along Chorley Old Road close to the Hope and Anchor Inn observed Jakubics, aged 20, facing her and pulling down his trousers to perform a sex act.
That same afternoon at around 6:30 pm, a different woman out walking her dog encountered Jakubics near a car park on Chorley Old Road, where he committed a similar offence.
Five days after these incidents, Jakubics was involved in two additional cases.
At 6 am, a woman on her way to work noticed Jakubics at the Blackhorse Street bus station, where he exposed himself; she subsequently called police.
He was detained, released later, and then at 1:30 pm, he approached another woman walking near Doffcocker Lodge.
This woman stated in court that although she wasn’t afraid or worried, she was concerned because the route was close to a primary school and she often walked there with her seven-year-old child.
Jakubics, a Hungarian national living on Chorley Old Road, Bolton, has learning difficulties, according to his defence.
Magistrates sentenced him to a 20-week prison term and mandated that he register as a sex offender for five years.
