GRAHAM LIGHTFOOT OF WINSFORD CONVICTED OF CHILD SEXUAL OFFENCES IN LIVERPOOL COURT
A man identified as Graham Lightfoot, residing on Hartwell Grove in Winsford, has been officially convicted of multiple serious sexual offences committed against children over two decades ago.The verdict was delivered on Tuesday, June 10, at Liverpool Crown Court after a comprehensive seven-day trial that examined the allegations and evidence presented against him.
Lightfoot, aged 57, faced charges that included 11 counts of indecent assault and two counts of sexual assault involving minors.
The crimes in question reportedly took place between the years 2000 and 2004, a period during which the victims, who were as young as 11 years old, endured repeated abuse at the hands of Lightfoot.
One of the victims was subjected to both indecent and sexual assault, highlighting the severity and brutality of the offences.
The investigation into these allegations was initiated in June 2023 when Cheshire Police received reports from individuals who had suffered at the hands of Lightfoot during their childhood.
The victims courageously came forward, providing detailed accounts of the abuse they endured over many years.
Their disclosures painted a disturbing picture of prolonged exploitation and trauma inflicted by Lightfoot, who exploited their trust and vulnerability.
Following the investigation, authorities formally charged Lightfoot with the offences.

Detective Constable Kelly Mitchell expressed her gratitude towards the victims for their bravery in coming forward.
She emphasized the importance of their disclosures, which revealed how Lightfoot had assaulted them on numerous occasions over an extended period.
Mitchell highlighted that these crimes had a profound and lasting impact on the victims' lives.
She also underscored that the conviction was a result of their courage and the diligent work of law enforcement.
Mitchell further condemned Lightfoot’s actions, stating that he had taken advantage of two young girls and subjected them to sustained abuse, demonstrating a complete disregard for their well-being and safety.
She urged anyone who might have experienced similar offences, regardless of how much time had passed, to report their experiences either by calling 101 or through the police website.
