BRANDON PARTON CAUGHT IN WINSFORD TRYING TO LURE 11-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN SEDUCIVE PLOT
A man residing on Tighe Avenue in Winsford was apprehended after attempting to engage in a disturbing online scheme involving what he believed to be an 11-year-old girl.Brandon Parton, the suspect, engaged in a series of explicit and inappropriate conversations with a decoy named 'Louise' over the course of nearly a week, from March 30 to April 7, 2023.
During these exchanges, he made several lewd and predatory requests, including asking if she wanted to see his penis, if he could kiss her, and if he could touch her breasts and bottom.
He also solicited explicit photographs from the decoy, demonstrating a clear intent to exploit and harm a minor.
Parton’s sinister intentions extended beyond online chat, as he attempted to arrange a face-to-face meeting with the decoy for the purpose of sexual activity.
The situation took a decisive turn when vigilant members of the community, acting as vigilantes, gathered outside an address in Sandbach on April 7, 2023.
They collected evidence, including the messages exchanged with the decoy, and handed this material over to the police, which ultimately led to his swift arrest.
Initially, during his appearance at Crewe Magistrates’ Court, Parton denied the charges brought against him.
However, after a period of legal proceedings, he changed his plea and admitted guilt on January 30, 2024.
His sentencing reflected the severity of his actions; he was sentenced to 40 months in prison.
Additionally, he was issued a 15-year sexual harm prevention order, which prohibits him from being alone with female children under the age of 16 in most circumstances.
As part of his ongoing legal obligations, Parton is also required to register as a sex offender and is restricted from using any computer capable of internet access unless he is registered with the police, aiming to prevent further attempts of exploitation.
This case underscores the ongoing dangers posed by online predators and highlights the importance of community vigilance and law enforcement efforts in protecting vulnerable minors from sexual exploitation.
