Owner of disturbing child sexual abuse images prohibited from social media
A 28-year-old man from Milford Haven, identified as Gordon Jamie Evans, who poses a significant risk to children, has been court-ordered to avoid using online devices and is prohibited from having unsupervised contact with minors.
Evans, of Castle Hall Road, Black Bridge, appeared before Newport Crown Court on November 25 for sentencing on two counts of possessing child pornography. The court described the images he possessed as ‘abhorrent’, featuring children estimated to be between five and seven years old.
The court issued Evans a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, restricting his access to the internet. Specifically, he is not permitted to access the internet unsupervised or delete any browsing history. Additionally, he is forbidden from entering chat rooms or using any social media platforms.
Furthermore, Evans has been placed under a three-year supervision order. The judge has mandated that his progress be reviewed every three months. He is also required to register as a sex offender for a period of five years.
These measures are intended to protect the public and particularly children from potential harm related to Evans’ offenses.
