GERALD CHARNLEY BRIERFIELD CHILD SEX OFFENDER JAILED FOR CHILD PORN AND MOLESTATION
In December 2007, Gerald Charnley, a 55-year-old widower residing in Brierfield, was sentenced to two and a half years in prison after being convicted of serious child sex offences.The court heard that Charnley had engaged in inappropriate and illegal conduct involving a young girl, as well as possessing a significant collection of child pornography.
According to court records, Charnley had physically molested the young girl on two separate occasions.
On one of these instances, he pulled down her knickers, an act that he later admitted was sexually motivated.
