BOSTON MAN JAILED FOR 15 YEARS FOR ABUSING SCHOOLGIRLS
A 'sexual predator' who assaulted four schoolgirls over a six-year period has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.Ben Cairns, from Boston, was convicted of seven charges related to sexual assaults against children under 13, following a nine-day trial at Lincoln Crown Court in March.
The court also issued him an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and ordered him to be on the sex offenders register for life during his sentencing on July 11.
Lincolnshire Police described Cairns as having committed the 'most heinous of crimes' against his victims between 2014 and 2020.
Sergeant Cherry Miller praised the victims for their 'immense courage in coming forward' and highlighted that Cairns was able to gain their trust and abuse it.
She emphasized that Cairns is a sexual predator who exploited the trust of victims and their families, preying on their vulnerability.
The police officer expressed hope that the sentence would provide some closure for the victims, acknowledging their strength and determination throughout the investigation and trial.
