At Falkirk Sheriff Court, details emerged about a sexual assault involving a young girl who was left distressed after an incident in which Frederick Houston, 57, sexually touched a 15-year-old girl at her home in Falkirk on March 15 2020.
The court heard that Houston’s behaviour caused the girl to feel shaken and upset.
It was noted that Houston was no longer living in the area and was employed as a driver in London at the time.
Sheriff Derek Livingston indicated that Houston merited a custodial sentence but ultimately imposed a two-year supervised community payback order requiring 300 hours of unpaid work within 12 months.
Houston was also placed on the sex offenders register for five years and issued a non-harassment order, preventing him from entering the street where the offence occurred or contacting the victim for two years.
The proceedings and court directives were transferred to London authorities.
