FRASER WILSON FROM MONTROSE INVOLVED IN CHILD ABUSE CASE AT DUNDEE SHERIFF COURT
A man from Montrose, Fraser Wilson, has admitted to serious allegations involving the exploitation of a young girl, with the case now making headlines at Dundee Sheriff Court. Wilson, aged 39 and formerly employed as a Navy communications operator stationed at Faslane, was arrested under circumstances that involved being at sea before being brought back to land for police questioning.During the investigation, Wilson openly acknowledged to law enforcement officials that he had been living in what he described as a "prison of fear for years." Despite this, he insisted that his actions were not driven by sexual motives. The court proceedings uncovered disturbing details about the abuse inflicted upon the young girl, which reportedly lasted between two and three years. The abuse included acts such as forcing her to defecate on the floor or in her underwear, as well as touching her on the bottom on several occasions. These revelations have caused significant concern among the community and authorities alike.
The young girl confided in her father about the inappropriate conduct by Wilson, describing the experiences as "creepy" and highlighting the physical contact involved. The case came to light after her disclosure, prompting police intervention. Wilson was detained in June, shortly after being deployed to sea in February, and was subsequently released on bail during his court appearance. The hearing took place at Dundee Sheriff Court, where Wilson was warned to prepare for sentencing scheduled for April 19. The prosecution emphasized the gravity of the abuse, considering it a highly serious offense, and Wilson was ordered to register as a sex offender as part of the legal consequences.
Wilson’s legal representative stated that he currently resides with his parents and is receiving counseling. The sheriff issued a stern warning, emphasizing the seriousness of the case and cautioning Wilson to prepare for further legal proceedings. The Royal Navy confirmed that Wilson is no longer serving in the military, and it was also revealed that he had previously been fined for causing a car to flip onto the central reservation of the A90, indicating a history of concerning behavior. This case is part of broader efforts to address and combat child abuse incidents within the region, highlighting the ongoing need for vigilance and justice in such matters.
