LEICESTERSHIRE PRISON OFFENDER FACES MULTIPLE SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGES
A man has appeared in court accused of carrying out sexual offences behind bars at a Leicestershire prison.Riordan is charged with two counts of exposure, contrary to section 66 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
The charges allegedly relate to incidents on February 28 and April 23 last year.
He is additionally charged with sexual assault on a female, contrary to section 3 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003, allegedly committed on Wednesday, April 23, last year.
Riordan also faces a charge of assault by beating of an emergency worker, allegedly committed on Friday, February 28, 2025.
All four charges relate to alleged incidents at HMP Gartree in Market Harborough.
Riordan, whose address is listed as HMP Manchester, entered not guilty pleas to each count at a hearing on Monday (February 16).
It was adjourned for a further case management hearing at Leicester Magistrates' Court on Friday, March 13.
Under the Sexual Offences Amendment Act 1992, alleged victims of sexual offences have lifelong anonymity.
This means they cannot be identified in any way throughout the legal process.
The lifelong anonymity remains in place unless a waiver has been signed.
