According to court proceedings, El Marghani boarded the 14A bus from Runcorn High Street around 12:30 pm.
He chose a seat on the upper level, positioned behind and to the side of the 17-year-old girl who was traveling alone.
It was during this journey that the girl noticed, through her peripheral vision, that El Marghani was engaging in an inappropriate act.
The girl, who was initially unaware of the full extent of his actions, later recounted her shock and discomfort.
As the bus made its scheduled stop at Widnes Morrisons, the teenage girl decided to leave the vehicle.
She moved further away from El Marghani, who had also exited the bus.
Feeling scared and worried about her safety, she initially mistook a different bus, the No.

However, realizing her mistake, she then waited and instead boarded the 26A bus.
El Marghani followed her onto the 26A and took a seat near the front of the bus.
He then moved to sit behind her on the slightly elevated seating area.
It was here that he continued to perform the indecent act, legs apart, in full view of the other passengers.
The girl, sensing the danger, discreetly switched her phone to selfie mode and lowered the brightness to avoid detection.
She then filmed him over her shoulder, capturing the disturbing behavior.
Once she reached her destination and disembarked, she immediately took action by sharing a picture from the footage on Facebook to warn others.
Her mother also contacted the police to report the incident.
The police quickly responded, and El Marghani was arrested.
During questioning, he admitted to police that he was aroused at the time of the incident.
