IRVINE MAN BREACHED COURT ORDER OVER CONTACTING EX
A man named Dylan Prentice, aged 20, was ordered not to contact his ex-partner after being granted bail at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on May 9.
He previously pleaded guilty to assaulting his former girlfriend by repeatedly pushing her and attempting to seize her by the neck at Herriot Watt University in Edinburgh on May 4.
Additionally, he admitted to acting in a threatening or abusive manner toward her on the same day, which involved shouting, swearing, and uttering offensive remarks, likely causing her fear or alarm.
After these admissions, he was granted bail with conditions including that he not communicate with his ex-partner.
However, on June 15, he breached these conditions by contacting her at an address in Irvine without any reasonable excuse.
Prentice, who resides in Woodside Tower, Motherwell, is due to return to court for sentencing at a later date.
