GREENOCK MAN DENIES SEXUAL ASSAULT ON WOMAN WHILE SHE SLEPT
A GREENOCK man has denied sexually assaulting a woman while she was sleeping.
He is charged with taking hold of the woman's hand, placing it on his private parts and holding it there during a sexual activity.
The alleged offence took place at a property in Greenock on November 4, 2022.
In a separate incident, Greene is also said to have pushed the same woman on the body, seized her by the wrist, and dragged her to a shop front in Greenock on September 10, 2023.
He is further charged with behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, and shouting and swearing at the woman on the same date.
It is also alleged that the offences were aggravated by abuse of a partner or ex-partner.
Greene has pleaded not guilty through his defence solicitor Derek Buchanan.
A trial is set to begin at Greenock Sheriff Court on May 21.
