EBBW VALE OFFENDER SENTENCED TO 16 MONTHS FOR ASSAULT AND VIOLENCE
A violent thug named Delme Cheese, aged 25, viciously assaulted a woman after grabbing her by the throat and subjected her to multiple punches and kicks to her face and body.He also tore her clothing, which made her feel 'violated'.
The incident occurred in Ebbw Vale in July, where Cheese continued to stand over the victim and hit her until others at the scene pulled him away.
The victim sustained a cut to her cheek, swelling, bruising, and marks on her body.
During his arrest, Cheese was shouting abuse and threatening to 'kick the door in' and 'smash people's heads'.
He was also aggressive towards police, shouting, "I'll kick you in the mouth now you little slag" and resisted arrest, kicking and hitting an officer.
He claimed the victim had assaulted him first with a vodka bottle.
Cheese, who has no fixed abode, later pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and assaulting an emergency worker.
He has 10 previous convictions for various violent offences, including assaulting an emergency worker and a woman at a Wetherspoons pub.
The court sentenced him to 16 months imprisonment.
Judge Paul Hobson remarked, 'I've seen pictures of the victim and she looks like she has been beaten up, and that's exactly what happened to her.'
