MAN JAILED FOR DOMESTIC ASSAULT AFTER SLAPPING GIRLFRIEND DURING ARGUMENT
Appearing by video link at Falkirk Sheriff Court, Gillies, of Knightswood, Glasgow, pleaded guilty to domestic assault.
The incident involved him slapping his girlfriend Emma Louise Petrie after an argument where they shouted at each other and he caused her glasses to fly from her face.
Gillies then left the flat near Westfield Park, Falkirk, where the incident occurred, and police were called.
He was later arrested, cautioned, and charged.
Initially fined but asked for no time to pay, Gillies was jailed for 14 days.
