SCOTTISH WOMAN JAILED FOR NEGLECTING DOGS AND KEEPING DEAD DOG IN BOX
A case of severe animal neglect was uncovered when animal welfare officers found a dead dog stuffed inside a cardboard box at Deborah Bristow's flat in Greenock.The incident was described by senior SSPCA officer Tom Gatherer as 'one of the worst cases of neglect I've ever dealt with.' In addition to the dead dog, two emaciated mongrel dogs were also discovered in terrible condition.
Bristow, who is unemployed and 24 years old, pleaded guilty to two charges of cruelty to animals.
She was subsequently banned for life from keeping animals and was fined pounds 200.
The dogs were rescued and gradually restored to health, highlighting the seriousness of the neglect.
The court emphasized the severity of the case, which brought to light one of the most appalling episodes of animal cruelty.
