WORKSOP MAN JAILED FOR RAPING WOMAN AFTER SHE REFUSED SEX
A man named Dean Peacock, residing on Campbell Close in Worksop, has been sentenced to five years in jail for raping a woman.The incident occurred in April 2016, and Peacock denied the charges but was found guilty after a trial.
The court heard that the victim was scared of the 31-year-old and repeatedly told him she did not want to have sex with him.
Following his conviction, Peacock was also subjected to an indefinite restraining order.
Detective Inspector Ash Wilson expressed that the police department takes reports of rape and sexual abuse very seriously and encourages victims to come forward, emphasizing that rape can happen to anyone and warning against victims' hesitations due to fears or misconceptions.
