DEAN JOHNSON JAILED IN RUNCORN FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY INVOLVING FIVE-YEAR-OLD GIRL
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Runcorn, Dean Johnson, a 40-year-old resident of Grangemoor, was sentenced to two years in prison after being found guilty of possessing a significant collection of indecent images, including those involving a five-year-old girl.The case was heard at Warrington Crown Court on a recent Friday, where the severity of Johnson's actions was thoroughly detailed by the presiding judge.
Judge Thomas Teague emphasized that the most troubling aspect of the case was Johnson's explicit conduct involving a young child.
It was revealed that Johnson had taken indecent photographs of the five-year-old girl while babysitting her, with another individual present at the time.
These images were captured using Johnson's mobile phone, while additional photographs were downloaded from his computer, indicating a deliberate effort to compile and possess such material.
Johnson, who had no prior criminal record, admitted to possessing a total of 321 indecent images.
His charges also included taking, possessing, and creating indecent photographs, with additional guilty pleas to possessing five extremely pornographic images.
Despite his claims that the images were solely for his own gratification and that he did not share them with anyone, the court found his actions deeply reprehensible.
As part of his sentencing, Johnson was subjected to strict restrictions.
He is now prohibited from being alone with any child under the age of 16 unless accompanied by a parent or guardian, and he must obtain explicit permission from the child's guardian before any contact.
Furthermore, he is banned from possessing any computer, mobile phone, or accessing the internet without prior notification to the police upon his release from prison.
The court also ordered that Johnson stay at least 15 metres away from schools and playgrounds to prevent any potential harm.
In addition to his imprisonment, Johnson will be registered as a sex offender for a period of ten years.
He is also barred from working with children or vulnerable adults, reflecting the serious nature of his offenses and the potential risk he poses to the community of Runcorn.
