MAN DENIES SEIZING CHILD BY THE NECK IN ALLEGED ASSAULT
A MAN has denied assaulting a child in a takeaway in Greenock.
Dean Clarke, 42, is alleged to have seized the 13-year-old by the neck causing him to fall to the floor, and holding him by the neck causing his breathing to be restricted.
The incident is said to have taken place in a takeaway on West Stewart Street on December 14, 2024.
Clarke, of Regent Street in Greenock, pleaded not guilty through defence solicitor Gerry Keenan.
The case is due to call again on March 17 next year, with the trial set to start on April 14.
