DEAN BENJAMIN SHOCKS LUTON AND LONDON WITH DISTURBING TRAIN SEX OFFENSES
In a series of disturbing incidents that have shocked the public and authorities alike, Dean Benjamin, a 41-year-old man from Luton, has been convicted and sentenced for heinous acts committed on train services traveling through London and other locations.His actions, which involved public indecency and sexual misconduct, have led to his imprisonment and the imposition of strict restrictions on his future travel.
On the evening of March 3, 2023, Benjamin targeted a woman aboard a train heading to Nottingham.
The incident occurred shortly after 5 pm, when the train was en route through London.
The first victim noticed Benjamin leaning on the luggage rack and observing her intently.
Moments later, she looked up to find him with his hands down the front of his trousers, engaging in masturbation in full view.
Recognizing the severity of the situation, she promptly used the British Transport Police's 61016 texting service to report the incident.
A nearby ticket inspector was alerted and responded swiftly, moving her to a safer area within the train, specifically into the first-class carriage.
Not long after, Benjamin made his way into the first-class section of the train.
There, he continued his inappropriate behavior by masturbating while fixating on a second woman who was working on her laptop.
The train staff, including a ticket inspector, were informed of his actions.
An off-duty police officer, who happened to be traveling on the same train, intervened and detained Benjamin until the train reached Kettering station.
Upon arrival, Benjamin was removed from the train and taken into custody by law enforcement officials.
Following his arrest, Benjamin pleaded guilty to charges of outraging public decency.
His actions, which violated multiple laws and his existing Sexual Harm Prevention Order, resulted in a prison sentence totaling 26 months.

These incidents are not isolated.
In a separate case from April 2022, Benjamin was involved in another disturbing episode on a Southeastern High Speed train traveling from London’s St Pancras International station to Kent.
On that night, he exposed himself and performed a sex act in front of three different female passengers, all traveling alone.
One of the victims managed to photograph him and confronted him about his lewd behavior.
This woman, aged 38, bravely challenged Benjamin and reported the incident to authorities.
She also recounted that Benjamin had approached her earlier at the station, making an unsettling remark: “You are going home with me.” During the court proceedings, it was revealed that Benjamin was on bail at the time for a similar offense of exposure.
He was subsequently sentenced to six and a half months in prison for that incident.
His upcoming release, scheduled for March 12, was halted when he was re-sentenced to an additional ten months for the latest offenses.
The court also imposed a ten-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which restricts him from traveling by train unless he uses a valid bank or Oyster card in his name and bans him from sitting next to or opposite any lone women.
Judge Julian Smith emphasized the gravity of Benjamin’s conduct, stating, “This is not merely a case of exposure in a few moments when someone can walk away and leave, but in a close environment.” Prosecutor Richard Witcombe detailed the sequence of events, including how Benjamin initially confronted a woman on the train, adjusting his trousers aggressively before hiding his manhood with a scarf.
He then performed a sex act on himself before moving seats, prompting the woman to disembark at Stratford International and report the incident.
Later, Benjamin sat opposite a second woman, smirking at her while engaging in similar lewd acts, which she secretly photographed and challenged.
Another victim recounted feeling increasingly uncomfortable as Benjamin performed a sex act under his clothing for over a minute and a half before being removed at Ashford International.
The court’s ruling reflects the seriousness of his repeated misconduct and the measures taken to prevent future offenses.
Benjamin’s case highlights ongoing concerns about public safety on transportation networks and the importance of swift law enforcement response to such disturbing behaviors.
