MIDDLESBROUGH MAN JAILED FOR ASSAULT AND HARASSMENT
A Middlesbrough man with a history of abusive and threatening behavior has been sentenced to jail.Dean Allinson, aged 38 and residing in Easterside, appeared before Teeside Crown Court to face charges related to his conduct toward two former partners.
The court was informed that Allinson had issued threats including an intent to hang his ex-partner’s son upside down and to hold a knife to his throat while defending his mother.
His abuse extended to threats of house fires, stabbing another ex-partner, and a series of verbal assaults.
A detailed incident involved Allinson attacking a woman who attempted to help him months after they ended their relationship, in which he punched her approximately 15 or 16 times while she tried to defend herself, before making an unwanted attempt to kiss her.
He was subsequently arrested but denied the allegations and was released under investigation.
Later, he targeted another woman, Ms B, with whom he previously had a relationship, describing her as emotionally and physically abused.
After sending numerous threats and messages, Allinson was arrested again.
The court heard that after Christmas, Allinson reinitiated contact with Ms A, leading to a meeting that a neighbor witnessed.
During this encounter, Allinson grabbed Ms A’s arms, punched her multiple times, and again tried to kiss her despite her pleas and attempts to escape.
The police arrived after the neighbor called authorities, during which Allinson warned her, saying: 'If you say owt, watch what happens to you and your kids.' The victim later recounted her distress, feeling she had inadvertently brought him into her family’s life, which resulted in ongoing torment.
The court sentenced Allinson to 30 months in prison for his violent assaults, threats, harassment, and damage to property, highlighting the significant emotional impact on his victims.
