PAEDOPHILE JAILED OVER OFFENCES AGAINST GIRL
A man from Blackburn has been sentenced to prison after being convicted of sexual crimes involving a young girl.David Schofield, aged 41, was found guilty of two counts of assault by penetration on a girl under the age of 13, as well as one count of touching a girl under 13 and another of inciting or causing a girl to engage in sexual activity, without penetration.
Following a court hearing at Preston Crown Court in May, Schofield, who resides on Didsbury Street, received a nine-year prison term.
The misconduct occurred over a period from 2020 to 2023.
In addition to his prison sentence, Schofield was issued a sexual harm prevention order that will remain in effect for 20 years.
A restraining order protecting the victim was also put in place for the same duration of 20 years.
