BLACKBURN MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO DOWNLOADING CHILD ABUSE AND BESTIALITY IMAGES
A man was found to have downloaded graphic images of children as young as three years old.Blackburn magistrates were informed that there were both still and moving images depicting female minors being assaulted by adult men.
Kashif Mirza, aged 42 and residing on Ailsa Road in Blackburn, admitted to possessing 50 images classified as Category A indecent images of children, 34 in Category B, 21 in Category C, along with three extreme pornographic pictures involving sexual acts with a dog, and two banned images of a child.
He was ordered to remain on bail until June 27, allowing time for the prosecution to prepare a sexual harm prevention order.
Prosecutor Lyndsey Vinden stated that some of the children depicted in the videos appeared visibly upset and distressed by the abuse.
"These are incredibly serious offences," Miss Vinden remarked.
Defence attorney Jonathan Taylor noted that a pre-sentence report from the probation service indicated his client had learning difficulties.
"He didn't fully comprehend the severity of the situation he was involved in," Mr Taylor explained.
He added, "The investigation has had a significant impact on him, and hopefully he has gained some understanding from it."
