MAN CONVICTED OVER SEXUAL ASSAULTS IN THE MALL BLACKBURN
A man has received a prison sentence after multiple girls were sexually assaulted at The Mall Blackburn.
In March, authorities issued a public appeal to help identify a suspect connected to the disturbing incidents at the shopping center.
As a result of this appeal, a suspect was identified, detained, and subsequently charged.
Graham Harwood, aged 52 and residing on Brookhouse Street in Ashton-on-Ribble, admitted to four counts of sexual assault against females aged 13 or older, relating to four different victims.
He appeared before Preston Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, where he was sentenced to a year in prison, which was suspended for two years.
Additionally, he was placed on the sex offenders’ register for a decade and ordered to comply with a sexual harm prevention order.
