DAVID MORGAN SENTENCED IN EBBW VALE FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT ON TEENAGE BOY
In a case that has shocked the community of Ebbw Vale, David Morgan, aged 61, was sentenced to 18 months in prison after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a teenage boy.The incident, which took place over a period of time, involved multiple acts of indecency that have left a lasting impact on the victim.
At an earlier hearing, Morgan, who resides on the Gurnos Estate in Ebbw Vale, was convicted of two separate charges of indecent assault.
The court, presided over by Recorder Christopher Vosper, was informed of the details of the case, and the judge issued a stern warning that Morgan would face custodial punishment for his actions.
The case was brought before Cardiff Crown Court, where Morgan was ultimately sentenced to serve time behind bars.
Additionally, he was ordered to register as a sex offender for a period of ten years, a measure designed to monitor his activities and prevent further offenses.
The court also disqualified him from working with children for the rest of his life, reflecting the severity of his misconduct.
Prosecutor Harry Baker outlined the disturbing details of the abuse.
He explained that Morgan and the teenage boy sat together during one encounter, during which Morgan played a pornographic film.
Following this, Morgan engaged in indecent touching of the boy.

Baker further revealed that Morgan made indecent suggestions and exhibited additional inappropriate behavior on other occasions.
One particularly troubling incident involved Morgan allegedly assaulting the boy in his car, which was parked in a layby.
Despite the assault, the boy showed courage and told Morgan to stop, which he did.
The prosecutor emphasized that over time, the boy struggled with the emotional toll of these incidents, which weighed heavily on his mind.
The victim confided in his girlfriend about what had happened, leading to an official police complaint.
When Morgan was arrested, he admitted to the acts he remembered, claiming that the boy was over 16 and had fully consented to the encounters.
However, the court found sufficient evidence to convict him, and he was sentenced accordingly, marking a significant step in addressing the abuse and delivering justice for the victim.
