MEN FROM 'DEPRAVED' GROOMING GANG JAILED
Men from Greater Manchester subjected minors aged 13 to 15 to rape and abuse at what became known as the "party house" in Blackrod, Bolton, during the years 2016 through 2018.A police-provided statement included a remark from one of the girls, who stated that the men, responsible for causing her to "suffer every form of abuse," continued to "haunt me every day." All the men involved were sentenced following a trial held at Liverpool Crown Court, with four additional members of the group, including the ringleader, receiving their sentences on Monday.
The court was informed that the gang arranged meetings with the victims by approaching them near a community centre and then communicating through online messages.
The verdicts included convictions for rape, sexual activity with a minor, or sexual assault.
One victim, who issued a statement via Greater Manchester Police, expressed the impact of the crimes, saying: "Because of these men, I will never be able to live a normal life again." "I'd rather be dead most days than deal with all this mental torture and memories.
"No amount of prison time for them can make that go away.
I live in my own prison now and that is what they have done to me." she added.
Detective Constable Robert Booth from GMP highlighted that the victims’ courage led to the offenders facing justice, stating: "I am glad these depraved individuals have been brought to justice, and I hope this sends a clear message that we will not tolerate sexual predators on our streets.
"If you are a victim of sexual abuse, please reach out to us.
We are here to listen and work with you at your own pace, when you are ready." One of the convicted individuals, Daniel Flatters, 34, from Bolton, was found guilty of engaging in sexual activity with a child and sentenced to seven years in prison.
