CAERPHILLY PAEDOPHILE JAILED FOR SEXUALLY ASSAULTING SCHOOLGIRLS

A paedophile branded a “devious predator” has been sentenced to prison after he sexually assaulted two schoolgirls, according to reports.

Daniel Davies, aged 38, from View, Hengoed, Caerphilly, was also found to have exposed himself to a third victim, Emma Harris.

Prosecutors presented evidence indicating he committed these crimes between 2020 and 2023.

Cardiff Crown Court heard that judge Simon Mills labeled Davies an unrepentant offender who is “a danger to prepubescent children” and stated he had “spoiled” the lives of his victims.

Davies admitted to sexual assault and exposure charges.

During the sentencing, the judge emphasized that Davies is a serious threat, noting that he has no remorse.

One victim said, “He made me feel as if I wouldn’t be believed and that it was normal.

I was unable to sleep at night.

I feel unsafe in the company of older men.

I’m happy he is no longer around.” Another victim revealed, “I have nightmares of him touching and chasing me.

I have been scared of my own body.

I’ll never forgive him for what he’s done to me.

My life has been ruined.” The court heard that Davies had 14 previous convictions for 45 offences, though none were relevant to these crimes.

His barrister acknowledged that his guilty pleas were a positive factor.

Judge Mills described Davies as a “devious predator who is sexually attracted to children” and sentenced him to seven years and six months in prison, along with an order to register as a sex offender indefinitely.

Additionally, he was convicted of dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance, which occurred on the A4042 in Goytre, Monmouthshire, last year.

He received a consecutive 10-month sentence, resulting in a total imprisonment of eight years and four months.

He is also banned from driving and must sit an extended retest.

Gwent Police have been asked for a custody photo of Davies.
