CAMBERLEY MAN JAILED FOR LIFE FOR BRUTAL MURDER
A 32-year-old man named Daniel Baker has received a life sentence after being convicted of the heinous murder of his partner, Georgina Hackett.The assault occurred in Surrey at a residence on Dawsmere Close in December of the previous year.
According to post-mortem reports, Georgina, who was 25 years old and a mother, succumbed to injuries inflicted to her head and face.
The court handed down a minimum term of 14 years behind bars for Baker.
Surrey Police’s Detective Sergeant Sarah Jones commented on the case, saying, "This was a particularly violent crime that has left a young child without a mother and a family in states of profound grief.
The positive outcome of this sentence is that this violent offender has now been removed from the community." The case has been classified as a domestic homicide.
