PERVERT SENT PICS TO GIRL, 13 HAVING UNLAWFUL SEXUAL INTERCOURSE WITH THE GIRL, WHO WAS 15 AT THE TIME.
Craig Stuart MacKay, of Denholm Street, Greenock, was placed on the sex offenders' register for three years after admitting a string of offences at Greenock Sheriff Court.MacKay pleaded guilty to having unlawful sexual intercourse with the girl, who was 15 at the time.
The offences took place between January 2006 and January 2007 at the Black Bear Travel Lodge in Uddingston, at an address in Bellshill and elsewhere.
MacKay also pleaded guilty to using lewd, indecent and libidinous practices and behaviour towards a 13-year-old girl by engaging her in conversation on the internet, showing her via a webcam images of him and another person engaged in sexual activity, and sending her a video file of himself naked and performing an indecent act on himself and an indecent picture of himself.
The offences occurred on various occasions between 30 July 2007 and 20 August 2007.
Additionally, the 26-year-old pleaded guilty to taking or permitting to be taken, or making indecent photos of children.
These offences happened on various occasions between 15 November 2006 and 16 December 2007.
Sheriff John Herald stated the offences "clearly justify a custodial sentence" but expressed concern that MacKay would serve a sentence and then be released without the necessary support.
He emphasized the importance of supervision and attendance at specialist courses, placing MacKay on probation for three years with reviews every three months.
The sheriff warned that breaching probation could result in a sentence of around two years.
