LOWESTOFT PAEDOPHILE CRAIG HOLT IN COURT FOR INDECENT IMAGES
A 51-year-old Lowestoft man has been given a suspended prison sentence for his second conviction for downloading indecent images of children.Craig Holt was made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) in 2021 after he was given a community order for downloading more than 1,000 indecent images of children.
The SHPO limited his use of the internet and electronic devices and in November 2021 Holt contacted police and told them he had reset his tablet computer to its factory settings in breach of the order, Ipswich Crown Court heard.
When police examined another tablet in his possession, they found 13 indecent images of children aged between seven and 12, said Duncan O’Donnell, prosecuting.
Holt, of Whiting Road, Oulton, admitted breaching a sexual harm prevention order and making indecent images of children.
He was given a ten-month prison sentence suspended for two years, a 50-day rehabilitation activity requirement and was ordered to do 100 hours unpaid work.
Holt was also made the subject of an SHPO for ten years and ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register for the same period.
He was also ordered to pay £350 costs.
Robert Pollington, for Holt, said his client had “an illness that needed to be resolved”.
