COURT HEARS ABDUCTION AND RAPE CHARGES AGAINST TWO MEN IN PAISLEY
Two men, Corin Robu and Liviu Nicolae Nastase, have been brought before Paisley Sheriff Court charged with a serious offence involving abduction and rape. The incident reportedly occurred earlier this month when they allegedly abducted a woman by forcing her into a Transit van and later assaulted her in a flat located on High Street.
Prosecutors detail that the men "did abduct her and detain her against her will and did pick her up and carry her, push her in said aforementioned Ford Transit van, repeatedly push and pull her body, forcibly remove her clothing multiple times, bite her on the neck," before taking her inside the flat where they allegedly raped her, leaving her severely injured.
Both men, aged 24 and 34 respectively, appeared in court—Nastase was committed for trial and released on bail, while Robu was released after no plea was entered.
The court proceedings did not result in specific sentencing, and the case continues to be pending further legal action.
