COLIN WOTHERSPOON
According to an official update issued by the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, Colin Wotherspoon was convicted after the trial concluded on January 15, 2026.
The court heard how the offender was found guilty of engaging in lewd, indecent and libidinous practices and behaviour, as well as attempted sodomy.
In a further blow, he was also convicted of an additional charge of sexual assault.
As a direct result of the conviction, Wotherspoon has now officially been placed on the Sex Offenders Register — with the length of time he will remain on it set to be decided at sentencing.
Authorities confirmed that specially trained police officers will now monitor the offender, with restrictions and supervision tailored to the level of risk he is deemed to pose to the public.
