COLIN MILTON FROM BLACKPOOL SENTENCED FOR RAPE AND ABUSE IN MIDDLESBROUGH

In a disturbing case that has shocked the local community, Colin Milton, a resident of Blackpool, has been found guilty of heinous crimes involving a young girl in Middlesbrough. The offences, which spanned from 2003 to 2005, involved repeated acts of sexual assault and physical violence against a 16-year-old girl with whom he was in a relationship at the time.

Milton, who was 36 years old during the period of the crimes, subjected the girl to a series of traumatic experiences. Court proceedings revealed that he would often lock her inside his house, effectively imprisoning her to prevent her from escaping or seeking help. This pattern of abuse created an environment of fear and control, making it extremely difficult for the victim to disclose her suffering at the time.

The case came to light many years later, when the victim finally reported the abuse to Cleveland Police in April 2021. An investigation was promptly launched by the specialized detectives from the Historic Investigations Unit, who meticulously examined the evidence and interviewed witnesses.
