ANDREW SULLIVAN'S HORRIFIC CRIMES IN BLACKPOOL REVEALED
A man with a deeply disturbing criminal history has been sentenced to prison for heinous offenses committed against children in Blackpool.Andrew Sullivan, aged 32 and without a fixed residence, has a long record of sexual offenses, which include serious allegations of child abuse and possession of indecent images.
His case has shocked the local community and highlighted the importance of vigilance among parents and authorities alike.
Prior to his arrest, Sullivan attempted to deceive those around him by fabricating a story about a twin brother.
He claimed that his twin, who had supposedly died by suicide, was responsible for the crimes he was accused of.
Sullivan told the parents of his victims that their children’s attacker was his deceased twin, a lie that was meant to divert suspicion away from himself.
However, investigators quickly uncovered the falsehood, revealing that Sullivan did not have a twin brother at all.
Evidence collected during the investigation proved his direct involvement in the crimes.
Sullivan was convicted on multiple counts of sexual offenses against children, including the heinous act of rape.
The authorities also found that he possessed an alarming collection of indecent images of children, totaling over 1,300.
Among these images, more than 700 were classified as severely graphic, underscoring the severity of his offenses and the extent of his depravity.
The police confirmed that Sullivan’s lies about his supposed twin were exposed thanks to the persistent questioning and concerns raised by the parents of the victims.
These parents had previously expressed suspicions about Sullivan’s background, especially given his history of sexual misconduct.
When investigators looked into his claims, they found them to be entirely false.
Sullivan was ultimately found guilty of sexually assaulting a young boy and possessing a large number of indecent images.
Detective Constable Sam Schofield described Sullivan as a ‘despicable individual who committed abhorrent crimes against children,’ emphasizing that his deceit was uncovered due to the diligent efforts of the parents who refused to accept his false stories.
Sullivan was sentenced to 12 years in prison for his sexual offenses and possession of indecent images.
Furthermore, he will be required to sign the sex offenders' register for life, and he is prohibited from having unsupervised contact with children.
His internet access will also be limited to prevent further offenses.
Authorities have made it clear that Sullivan’s actions have caused significant harm and distress to the victims and their families.
His falsehoods and criminal conduct have been thoroughly documented, serving as a stark reminder of the importance of vigilance and thorough investigation in cases involving child abuse in Blackpool and beyond.
