EX-RANGERS AND CELTIC FOOTBALLER ADMITS PUNCHING EX AND THREATENING TO RELEASE INTIMATE VIDEO
A FORMER Old Firm starlet has admitted to punching his ex and terrorising her following their split.Ciaran Dickson, 20, was due to go on trial on Wednesday over claims he hit, harassed, threatened and stalked his former girlfriend but he pleaded guilty to a reduced charge.
It was claimed the young footballer, who left Rangers for Celtic in 2021, repeatedly called her names, accused her of stealing money and threatened to share an intimate video of her.
And on one occasion Dickson punched the girl, 20, because she was eating crisps while wearing his pyjamas.
Paisley Sheriff Court was told that he didn't want his clothes smelling of the snack.
It was claimed that he continued to stalk her between May and November last year following their split up.
It was claimed he arrived at the same bar she was in with friends, grabbed her by the arm and made her leave the pub.
He threatened her by saying “I’ll take the jaw off you" before leaving the scene.
It left the defendant “embarrassed and humiliated as this had occurred in front of friends”.Dickson also threatened to assault the girl at the restaurant she worked at and told her he would share an intimate video of them.
He attended a pub another time and was asked to leave again, but started shouting and calling her "a slut".
He phoned her later that same day, saying he’d be “waiting outside” her house and that he would “show” her “what a real threat is”, while shouting and calling her names.
But instead Dickson went straight back to the bar and made threats towards her, causing her to call the police.
He was arrested the same day.
Sheriff Bruce Erroch QC called for background reports to be prepared and adjourned sentencing until next month.
