KELSO SEX OFFENDER CHRISTOPHER SKEFFINGTON HANDED COMMUNITY ORDER DUE TO PTSD DIAGNOSIS
Christopher Skeffington denied sexually assaulting a 15-year-old in Kelso in 2015, but was found guilty at Selkirk Sheriff Court.Defending, Rory Bannerman said his client was at limited risk of sexual offending.
He added:“The level of alcohol intoxication was clearly the factor which caused him to act in this one-off way.
He needs to deal with his alcohol misuse, and has lessened his intake over the past few months.” Sheriff Peter Paterson sentenced Skeffington to two years’ supervision and two year's on the sex offenders register warning him this was a direct alternative to prison.
