CHRISTOPHER MCGREGOR BANNED FROM DUNDEE AFTER FILMING EX-PARTNER AT SCHOOL

A man identified as Christopher McGregor has been legally prohibited from making any contact with his former partner for a period of five years following a disturbing incident in Dundee. The incident involved McGregor secretly filming and photographing the woman as she was picking up her children from school, an act that has now led to serious legal consequences.

According to court records, McGregor, aged 30 and residing on Dunholm Road, was found guilty of following his ex-partner and capturing footage of her without her consent on January 29. Despite being under two separate bail orders at the time, he committed this offence, which has raised concerns about his conduct and the safety of the woman involved.

The Dundee Sheriff Court was informed that the woman initially saw McGregor in the Liff Road area around 2:50 pm. She did not consider his presence to be threatening at that point, as she believed he was a local resident. However, her perception changed shortly afterward when she encountered him again on Dickson Avenue, a short distance away. Her unease grew as she realized he was behaving suspiciously.

Prosecutor Carol Doherty explained that after she had finished collecting her children, the woman was driving along Dickson Avenue when she spotted McGregor. She observed him with his phone out, seemingly engaged in filming or taking photographs of her. The situation escalated later that same day at approximately 4 pm, when the woman, accompanied by a friend, was in her car on Mallaig Avenue. She again saw McGregor, who was actively filming her, causing her to feel alarmed and fearful for her safety.

McGregor pleaded guilty to engaging in a course of conduct that caused the woman to experience fear and distress. His actions included following her, loitering in her vicinity, and taking photographs and videos without her consent. These actions were deemed to have caused significant alarm and concern for her well-being.

In sentencing, Sheriff Jillian Martin-Brown imposed a community payback order that includes two years of supervision. Additionally, McGregor was ordered to participate in the Caledonian Programme, which is designed for domestic offenders, as part of his rehabilitation. To further protect the woman, the court also issued a non-harassment order, preventing McGregor from contacting her or approaching her for the next five years, ensuring her safety and peace of mind moving forward.
