CHRISTOPHER HOOPER SENTENCED TO 12 YEARS IN PRISON IN CHESTER FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES

In July 2008, a paedophile named Christopher Richard Hooper was sentenced to 12 years in prison after being convicted of sexually abusing two young girls.

Hooper, who previously resided on Arkwright Close, appeared at Chester Crown Court on Thursday, July 3, facing charges that included two counts of rape, nine counts of indecent assault, two counts of sexual touching, and one count of engaging in sexual activity with a minor.

The 47-year-old was found guilty of nine charges, which involved the rape, indecent assault, and sexual touching of two girls under the age of 13, committed between February 2000 and May 2005.

During the trial, Judge Henshell addressed the jury, stating: “Hooper has admitted that he felt sexually attracted to one of the girls more than the other and that it was one of his fantasies to watch two girls having sex.” The judge added, “When he gave evidence Hooper said that he never raped the two girls he would just make suggestions to one of them.” The two victims, whose identities are protected for legal reasons, provided evidence at the trial.

One of the girls described her experience, saying: “When he was having sex with me it hurt so much, but I couldn’t get him off me.

I was scared and he overpowered me.” Additionally, Hooper was ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register indefinitely and was prohibited from working with children.
