ABERFELDY MAN JAILED FOR MASKED AND ARMED RAPE
A MASKED and armed rapist who humiliated and degraded his victim, possibly acting out fantasies from pornographic videos, was sentenced to 10 years in prison.Lord Morton told Christopher Dudley, 21, that he had broken into the home of a stranger who lived alone and that the evidence indicated it was a premeditated attack.
The Judge described the offence as shocking, emphasizing that Dudley used the victim as an object rather than a human being.
During police search of Dudley's home in Crieff Road, Aberfeldy, pornographic videos depicting bondage, torture, and rape were found.
Dudley's trial at the High Court in Perth revealed he forced his way into the victim's home in Perthshire on July 7 of the previous year with his face masked, threatening her with a gun, tying her hands, and forcing her upstairs.
He assaulted her indecently, asked about previous rape experiences, masturbated in front of her, and then carried out the rape.
Dudley asked if she had a camera and a vibrator during the incident.
The jury convicted him of the rape after a month-long trial, and the sentence was deferred until a psychiatric report could be obtained.
Dudley was also accused of trying to place a stocking on her leg and forcing her to kneel on the bed, with the attack including threats to kill, forced undressing, and physical assault, culminating in rape and humiliation.
During the trial, he denied calling at the cottage claiming he returned wearing a mask, but the victim identified him as the man who asked for directions, confirming his involvement.
