LIVERPOOL MAN JAILED FOR REVENGE PORN AND HARASSMENT
A man named Christian Adamson, of Penny Lane in Haydock, St Helens, has been convicted of stalking and threatening to share private sexual images of a woman he met online. He was also accused of making threats against her teenage daughter, including telling her that she would be better off dead.
Adamson initially met his first victim online in 2022, when he used the name 'Darren McCabe'.
The pair exchanged messages on Snapchat, which automatically deletes messages shortly after being received, but the woman realized Adamson was screen-shotting and recording the images.
Throughout 2023, they remained in frequent contact, during which Adamson began targeting the victim's children, telling her older daughter she would be better off dead and claiming he was in love with her.
After their relationship ended in early 2024, the woman blocked his number on WhatsApp, but Adamson continued to harass her via emails and continued calling her.
He also threatened to release the sexual images she sent him and to post them on social media.
Police attended his home, where they found multiple phones, a laptop, an Xbox, and external storage devices, which he wasn’t supposed to have according to a previous sexual risk order from 2015.
Further investigation revealed he had been involved in online conversations with a teenage girl and had threatened an adult woman with posting a video online.
Adamson later made contact with another woman on a dating website, claiming his name was Simon, and shared intimate images with her before their relationship ended after she read about his past actions.
He was arresting again in late 2024, and during his detention, more evidence was found linking him to threats and misuse of devices.
The court heard that Adamson was diagnosed with autism and ADHD, which affected his impulse control.
He pleaded guilty to stalking, making threats to share private images, and multiple breaches of a sexual risk order.
The judge sentenced Adamson to two years in prison.
