CONVICTED KILLER CHARLES JAYNES GETS PAROLE APPEAL AFTER CHILD MURDER
Charles Jaynes, aged 22, was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment without parole for the kidnapping and murder of Jeffrey Curley.
The child, who was only 10 years old, was lured into a car with the promise of a new bike by Jaynes and his accomplice Salvatore Sicari.
According to reports, Jaynes suffocated Jeffrey with a petrol-soaked rag after he was driven to a flat in Manchester, NH.
Jeffrey was then abused before his body was placed in a storage container and dumped into a river.
During the trial, the court learned that Jaynes had denied the crimes, blaming Sicari instead, despite evidence like Jeffrey’s shirt found at Jaynes' flat.
On December 11, 1998, Jaynes was found guilty of second-degree murder and kidnapping, and was jailed for life with no parole.
Later, in 2021, Jaynes applied for parole and publicly admitted to kidnapping and murdering Jeffrey to a parole board, claiming Sicari had pushed him into it and that he did it to impress Sicari.
His plea was denied, and he is currently awaiting another parole hearing.
Robert Curley, Jeffrey’s father, has expressed his ongoing determination to keep Jaynes behind bars, describing him as 'the devil' and insisting he fights to serve the full life sentence.
Robert's statements highlight the tragic impact of the case, emphasizing the brutality of the crime and the enduring pain for Jeffrey’s family.
