CAMBRIDGE MAN JAILED FOR SENDING GIRL EXPLICIT VIDEO AFTER RANDOM CALLS
Andrew Murray was believed to have dialled numbers at random before the sickening offence. He caused a 13-year-old girl to view a sexual image and sent her a sexually explicit video after an unsolicited call on October 7.
The 31-year-old man was recorded by the victim and subsequently arrested by police.
He admitted to causing a child aged 13 to 15 to view an image of sexual activity and to breaching a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO).
Murray pleaded guilty and was jailed for two-and-a-half years at Cambridge Crown Court on Thursday, November 27.
Detective Sergeant Andy Harding commented that Murray's actions, including ascertaining the victim's age and continuing to send the explicit video, made his behaviour especially despicable.
The event was described as traumatising for the teenager.
