A MAN HAS BEEN JAILED AFTER HE REPEATEDLY STAMPED ON HIS EX-PARTNER DURING A “HORRIFIC” ATTACK

Mitchell Audley-Ellis, aged 24, arrived at the victim’s residence in Cambridge on November 30, 2019, in violation of a restraining order that forbade any contact with her.

He entered the property without permission and seized the victim’s phone from the living room where she was seated.

After taking the device to the kitchen and smashing it, Audley-Ellis returned to the living area to face the victim.

He then proceeded to slap and punch her in the head, before pulling her by her hair into the kitchen.

While she was left helpless on the floor, he continuously stamped on her legs and ribs, shouting, “we are going to do this all day until your legs and arms are broken.” Eventually, the victim managed to escape by climbing out of the living room window and flagged down a passing vehicle, explaining the assault.

The driver contacted the police, who arrived to find Audley-Ellis still present at the scene.

Audley-Ellis, who has no fixed address but is from the Cambridge area, pleaded guilty to charges including assault causing actual bodily harm, breaching a restraining order, criminal damage, and violating a suspended sentence.

He received a 30-month prison sentence at Peterborough Crown Court.
