GREENOCK WOMAN CHARGED WITH CAUSING UNNECESSARY SUFFERING TO A CAT WHICH DIED
A GREENOCK woman charged with causing unnecessary suffering to a cat which resulted in its death has had her trial postponed.Ms McGhee, of Hillside Road, had been due to have her case heard at the sheriff court earlier this week but had to be adjourned until November for a procedural reason.
Ms McGhee is accused of failing to provide adequate care and treatment to the animal, named Ollie, who had a number of medical conditions including blood loss and feline dystocia.
Prosecutors say she committed the alleged offence between July 12 and 14.
Ms McGhee maintained a plea of not guilty threw lawyer Gerry Keenan.
The matter is due to call again on October 27, ahead of a rescheduled trial on November 4.
