In a recent court proceeding held at Dunfermline Sheriff Court, Casey Prattis, a 56-year-old resident of Burnside House on Benarty Road in Kelty, was convicted of serious assault charges involving a young boy. The incident took place at The Centre shopping complex located in Livingston, a prominent retail hub in the region.According to court records, Prattis was accused of physically assaulting a 12-year-old boy in a manner that caused significant harm. The allegations detailed that Prattis had seized the boy’s nipples over his clothing, applying squeezing pressure, and then proceeded to slap him across the face. These actions resulted in injuries to the young victim, which were deemed serious enough to warrant a conviction.
The court heard that the assault was not only physically damaging but also emotionally distressing for the young boy involved. The court's verdict confirmed that Prattis committed these acts, which were characterized as causing significant harm to the victim. Sheriff Mark Allan, presiding over the case, acknowledged the gravity of the offense but decided to defer sentencing until March 5th, allowing for a period of good behaviour to be demonstrated by the defendant.
